First cast will be held in June 11, 2016 at the Pullman Hotel of Hanoi. The next casts are scheduled in June 14 at Ha Long City, June 15 at Hai Phong City, June 19 at Ho Chi Minh City, June 20 at Can Tho City, June 21 at Da Nang City and June 22 at Hue City. The semi-final in the North and the semi-final in the South are taking place in June 30 and July 14 alternately.
When being asked, one of the contest organizer explained about the reason to pick those destinations for the national casting: those cities take up the most registers in the contest from all Vietnam and no doubt are home to a number of Vietnamese beauties. Hai Phong is counted because it is considered as “the land of Misses”. At the Miss Vietnam 2000, over half of the finalists were from Hai Phong. Miss Vietnam 2004 Nguyen Thi Huyen, and most recently Miss Universe Vietnam 2015 Pham Thi Huong also hail from the port city. With this kind of tradition, Hai Phong is known to be the first to open beauty training class in Vietnam.
After Hai Phong, Ha Long City (Quang Ninh province) and Hanoi are also home to beauties. Many native girls from the two cities are the winners at popular beauty contests nationwide. Especially, Ha Long is used to hosting different beauty pageants
In this round, all contestants will compete in several examinations: appearance indicators, personal introduction, talent and catwalk. The judges consist of the choreographer Tran Ly Ly, designer Duc Hung and Miss Vietnam 1992 Ha Kieu Anh.
A member of organizers revealed it was the success of the global cast and semi-final contest in the US that contributed to draw the public’s attention to the national cast. Standing out from the registers is Vietnamese Supermodel Minh Tu. At her very young age of 24, with her very sexy body and bold personalities, Minh Tu has gained popularity in the showbiz as well as many impressive prizes: Silver Prize at the Supermodel Contest 2013, one in fifty models worldwide selected to catwalk for the Oscar de la Renta, at Singapore Fashion Week 2014. This girl is being seen as a “copy” of Angelina Jolie and symbol of the most powerful makeover star in Vietnam.
Miss Vietnam Heritage Global 2016 is undergoing important stages, especially the international casting in the US. All the contestants selected from the global casting possess treasured virtues: typical charming beauty of Vietnamese women and dynamic, active integration of modern ladies.
Those first contestants are showing their strong competitiveness in the contest, pushing other domestic contestants to show off more of their beauties. In addition to beauty, wisdom, talent and spirit for integration are also important criterion in the contest.
The semifinals will take place in the FLC high end resort complex, including FLC Samson, FLC Quy Nhon and FLC Vinh Phuc Resort.
